In the demineralization process, the total dissolved solids (TDS) in the water are completely removed using the proven ion exchange technology. A properly designed Demineralizer (DM) Plant is multi-staged and operates on the principles of ion exchange, degasification and polishing to produce water that is free from minerals. Demineralization process removes up to 99% of the dissolved solids (minerals) present in the water.
In a DM Plant, the feed water is passed through pre-treatment modules based on the raw water characteristics. Thereafter, the water is sent into the two-bed Demineralizer Plant. In the DM Plant, the two separate vessels containing cationic and anionic resins are connected in series. The first vessel is filled with strongly acidic cation (SAC) resins and the second vessel is filled with strongly basic anion (SBA) resins.

When water containing cations passes through the SAC resins, the resin bed exchanges the positive ions (Na, Ca, Mg) for hydrogen (H) ions in an electrically balanced way. Likewise, when this cation-free water flows through the SBA resin bed, the negative ions (anions) are exchanged for hydroxide (OH) ions. DM Plants generally produce water with dissolved solids in the range of 2ppm to 6 ppm. Quality of the demineralized water can be assessed by measuring the ability of the water to conduct or resist electricity.
Korgen incorporates time-tested formula-driven design principles to optimize the design of DM Water Plants. With an additional mixed bed (MB) ion exchanger, high purity water can be produced for boiler applications. High-quality imported cationic and anionic resins are used in our Demineralizer Systems that comply with stringent quality norms.
As one of the established DM Plant Manufacturers in Chennai and select cities in Tamilnadu, Korgen has supplied a good number of DM Water Plants in Chennai for various industrial companies.
Given the numerous industrial establishments and factories, DM Water Plant in Chennai has very high demand. Our specialist team tests the quality of the feed water, assesses the site conditions and applications before recommending the right DM Plant. Being one of the trusted DM Water Plant suppliers in Chennai, our Demineralizer Plants are known for their efficiency, performance consistency, ease of use and durability.
Apart from the standard modules of DM Plants, we also design, erect and service custom-built DM Water Plants in Chennai and across Tamilnadu for specific process requirements.
Starting from a detailed water analysis to the selection of right product specifications that meet your requirements, Korgen will closely guide you, at every stage, to take informed buying decisions.
Mixed Bed Demineralizer (MB) Plants are used as a downstream treatment process for an RO plant or a conventional DM Plant. MB Plant combines SAC and SBA resins within a single vessel. Mixed Bed Demineralizers are also called as polishing units and are used for applications that need a higher level of water quality.
Standard DM Water Plants and MB Plants are mounted on self-supporting skids with necessary intermediary pipes and valves.
MB Plants are capable of products water of up to 18 MΩ-cm
